NORTH PRIMARY, COLCHESTER, ESSEX
Transforming an entrance hall in sympathy with it's Victorian history to provide interactive learning resources addressing the past, present and future of the school and its pupils, teachers and support staff. All the installed artworks were created through ideas initiated during workshops with pupils and all are removable and fully interactive. A full set of resource notes were produced to support the installation and provide additional information for teaching staff.  The pictures below show the transformation of the space.

"For the past year the ARCISTs have been working at my school creating an interactive installation in the front entrance to the school which tells the history of the school, establishes the school’s place n the community over time and leads the visitors into what education is like now and will be like in the future with an exploration of the multiple intelligences. It was a very challenging brief which they realised magnificently. I cannot praise them too highly. They are a team whose sum is definitely greater than their excellent individual parts."  Alan Garnett, Headteacher, North Primary
