The ArCists have all been involved in a three year project 'ArC 2006-2008' working with Firstsite in Colchester and the Colchester Consortium, addressing citizenship through the arts in primary schools throughout Colchester in Essex. It was during this successful project that the artists met and at the closing event took the decision to form a collective to take forward their combined experiences, knowledge and skills.
